AASHTO Preparing for Centennial Year Spring Meeting in Louisville

A little more than a month remains until the commencement of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials' Spring Meeting, which this year takes place Wednesday, May 28 through Friday, May 30 in Louisville, Kentucky.

This meeting is expected to be one of the most important gatherings of state departments of transportation this year with discussion related to surface transportation reauthorization and the potential insolvency of the Highway Trust Fund during the busy construction season.

In addition to updates from Washington, D.C., the meeting offers state transportation executives the opportunity to network and share the latest in industry policies and innovations, as well as learn about progress implementing the current surface transportation authorization, MAP-21. Hosted by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, this year's meeting will also include a student engineering competition and additional committee meetings on rail, freight, and performance measures.

Those following or attending the meeting may download the free, one-time downloadable AASHTO Meetings app. The app, which updates for each AASHTO Spring and Annual Meeting, allows users to view the meeting schedule, read about meeting sponsors, learn about the exhibitors scheduled to attend, obtain information on the meeting's featured speakers, see who else may be attending the meeting, and gain access to various maps, including maps of the meeting venue and of the city in which it takes place.

The AASHTO Meetings app is available on all platforms and devices. iOS and Android users can access the app here. To access the app online via a computer, go here. Users may also look for the app in their preferred app store by searching "AASHTO Meetings."
