AASHTO’s Annual Meeting: A Century of Achievement for a Better Tomorrow
AASHTO is preparing for the culmination of its 100th anniversary celebrations this month during its annual meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina, Nov. 19-24. The meeting program includes several activities that will draw special attention to the association’s history and offer a glimpse into what is ahead.
The meeting will provide for the unveiling of the long anticipated Centennial commemorative book, which will be available to attendees and, soon will be available for purchase from AASHTO’s online bookstore. A formal dinner celebration is planned for Sunday, Nov. 23 during which attendees will enjoy the premiere of the long-form video documenting AASHTO’s history and featuring some well-known members of AASHTO’s Board of Directors.
A key part of AASHTO’s centennial effort has been to look forward as well as we look back. And, the AASHTO Board of Directors on Monday will review a proposed new member-focused, five-year strategic plan.
A full wrap-up of annual meeting activities, as well as links to the centennial video and the commemorative book for purchase will be included in next month’s centennial newsletter.
